Our story

Hi, we're Austin and Kaitlyn, the husband-and-wife team behind Ridgeline Garage Doors. Austin's start in this industry was almost an accident — he took a garage door job over 10 years ago just to get by while waiting for school, and it turned into a career neither of us expected. Over the next decade, he worked his way from installs up to managing multiple large companies, training a lot of people in the trade along the way — a few of whom have gone on to start their own businesses.

That experience showed us what the industry was missing: honesty, straightforward communication, and companies that actually take the time to educate customers instead of just upselling them. So we started Ridgeline to do things differently — fair assessments, clear education, and bringing customers along in the process so they can make informed decisions about their own home. Austin runs the day-to-day fieldwork while Kaitlyn keeps our community connected through social media and helps keep things running behind the scenes.

We also wanted to bring something back to the Treasure Valley that's gotten rare: a truly local, family-owned garage door company. When you call Ridgeline, you're talking to real people who show up, stand behind their work, and treat your home like it matters.
